Christ Church is a grade II* listed Georgian church in Macclesfield commissioned by industrialist Charles Roe in 1775. These days, it is a beloved community space kept open through donations generated by events, and maintained by volunteers alongside The Churches Conservation Trust.

A brief history...
Christ Church in Macclesfield was built in 1775, and is considered an 'engineering marvel' due to its rapid construction, a revolutionary use of cast-iron columns, and its capacity to seat 1800 people.
